As a makeup lover I have had the unique privilege of helping women feel more confident about their appearance. It has been an absolute honour and thrill to watch so many women hold their heads a little higher after teaching them to enhance their natural beauty through the art of makeup.
My philosophy on makeup is quite simple. It is not meant to be worn as a mask, transforming you into someone you are not, but rather a way to help you become the most gorgeous and confident version of yourself. It should make women feel more beautiful not because it has been painstakingly or expertly applied, but because it has helped them achieve a look that is completely their own. Makeup isn't meant to be scary, it is meant to be easy, approachable, and most importantly, it is supposed to be fun.
On the day of your wedding you want your make up to look perfect; not too much and not too little. Below you will find a few helpful tips to help you look and feel beautiful on your wedding day.
- If you've decided to go for a facial, do it at least one month prior to your wedding. If you decide to have another facial done before your wedding, be sure to do it at least two weeks before the big day.
- Drink lots of water! Not only is it refreshing, but it will also flush out your skin.
- Have your eyebrows shaped & tided a week before your wedding. Don't pluck/ wax them on the day of your wedding or you may end up with redness.
- Make sure you wear a button-down shirt when you have your make up done. This way you wont have to pull the shirt over your head and take the chance that you may mess up your make up. Also, before slipping into your gown, put a towel or sheet over your face so you won't get any makeup on your gown.
